A Christmas special at The Lamb Pub in Surbiton! A Lesson in Nature has teamed up with Artist Debbie Chessell to deliver a night of carving with the addition of some focused decorative work.

After we have carved a spatula out of locally sourced birch, we will focus on creating some intricate patterns under Debbie’s supervision using different carving tools. Debbie’s work as a print artist lends its self to carving intricate designs into wood and other printing media, the birch spatula will be an ideal surface to decorate. 

All abilities and experience levels are welcome, Louis and Debbie will take you through the whole process from refining a spatula blank to carving and finishing your decorative detail.
